London Garden Marathon For NHS Charities Together

Yesterday my wife Sinead and I completed a marathon in their tiny London Garden, the same day the actual London Marathon was meant to take place!

Call us crazy, but we were both very inspired by the great Captain Tom and our garden marathon was in honour of our unsung heroes in the NHS. We have successfully raised £2,376 so far ♥️

We completed the marathon doing an 8.5 metre lap like two hamsters on a wheel and clocked up nearly 5000 laps over the non stop 6 hours 37 minutes it took us to complete it!

We are overwhelmed by the support and the generosity shown – the NHS Charities Together are very deserving. We only decided to do this on Tuesday last week and a few days later we were live streaming from their garden and trending on Twitter!

It was a very positive, rewarding day and the messages of support saying we brought smiles to people was very humbling.
